# hasWellData

> Returns true when the well holds any data at all: a profile (see isWellEmpty) or any other filled root member — identification, location, events, samples, permits, x- members, … A registry record with no construction or geology is not empty by this measure, while isWellEmpty (nothing to draw) still

Returns `true` when the well holds any data at all: a profile (see
[isWellEmpty](/core/api/functions/isWellEmpty)) or any other filled root member — identification,
location, events, samples, permits, `x-` members, … A registry record
with no construction or geology is not empty by this measure, while
[isWellEmpty](/core/api/functions/isWellEmpty) (nothing to draw) still says it is.

## Parameters

The well to check. `null` / `undefined` hold no data.
