# getCurrentWellStatus

> Returns the current status of the well (.well v2.3): the status of the latest statuschange entry, e.g. active, maintenance, inactive, decommissioned or abandoned. undefined means unknown — there is no statuschange entry.

Returns the current status of the well (.well v2.3): the `status` of the
latest `status_change` entry, e.g. `active`, `maintenance`, `inactive`,
